Ifrane is worth a visit. This little city dominated by its austere Royal palace, in the middle of legendary cedar woods will guarantee its visitors a trip far away from the African continent. During the first half of the century, before the independency of Morocco, the place was very busy with the French middle-class residents who were living in Fez. They came to seek a little freshness at the time of the hottest summers. Nowadays, many inhabitants from Fez have chosen Ifrane for their holiday’s residences.

What will astonish more the tourist in Ifrane, it is the architecture of the houses of Anglo-Norman or Alsatian style which chimneys often shelter gigantic nests of storks.
