Fez Modern Town : at the time of protectorate, Marshall Lyautey, eager to preserve the integrity of the Medina of Fez, ordered the French to settle away from the Medina. Thus developed the Modern Town or New City. Today this massive urban development places Fez into the modern world. Many projects have been realized such as the tennis academy of Henri Lecomte, the “Palais des Congrès” or have just started such as "WADI FES" or "OUISLANE" projects.

The New town has the charm of the southern cities, with alleys of plane and palm trees and café terraces where it is good to have a drink during summer evenings when the temperature becomes lenient.
