Originally it was built by Cadi Moulay Ahmed Alaoui, whose wife Kenza was the daughter of Moulay Hassan I, sultan who reigned over Morocco from 1873 to 1894.
Riad SOUAFINE was sold to Cadi Boukili, who then passed it on to Cadi Abdelaziz Skalli, who made a few changes before selling it to the BENKIRANE family, an important Khlih manufacturer (beef or camel meat, dried and then candied, a speciality from Fez).
